The Houston Texans' quarterback, C.J. Stroud, became the first former Ohio State student-athlete to donate to the school's NIL collective.

The Foundation announced Monday via X that Stroud had made a donation, but the organization didn't say how much Stroud had contributed.

Stroud was taken by the Texans second overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. In three season at Ohio State, in which he was the starter for two, he threw for 8,123 yards and 85 touchdowns. Stroud earned some high-value NIL deals while at Ohio State, with an estimated value of $2.9 million.

Stroud signed a 4-year, $36,279,243 contract with the Houston Texans, including a $23,384,904 signing bonus, $36,279,243 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $9,069,811.
