On Dec. 13 Mandan Baseball Club approved the naming rights for the playing field within the Mandan Veterans Memorial Ballpark, which is now officially named BNC National Bank Field, in exchange for $225,000.

The BNC brand will be dominant on the field located behind home plate and on the backside of the main grandstand facing southwest. Other sponsorship opportunities, including dugouts, press box, locker rooms, umpire room, seating, storage and grandstands, are available throughout the ballpark.

Earlier this year, the Mandan Park Board approved spending $1.25 million to address the synthetic turf as the Veterans Memorial Ballpark immediate need and the two dugouts as the secondary need, if funding allows. Mandan Parks and Recreation has donated $750,000 and Mandan Baseball Club $500,000.

Mandan Park District will advertise bids starting in the spring of 2018. The estimated project completion is prior to winter 2018.
