A former high school baseball player pleaded no contest in a hazing case involving younger players.

According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, ex-Bauxite (Ark.) High School player Lorenz Fehrenbacher and another player, Greg Lester, were arrested in October 2018 in connection to allegations of hazing and assault.

The arrest warrant claims that the two players were on a team bus when the March 2 incident took place. The warrant describes Fehrenbacher and Lester, both 18 year olds at the time, threatening and assaulting four freshmen students.

According to the Democrat Gazette, the two older players called out to the alleged victims, instructing them to come to the back of the bus and threatening to beat them up if they didn’t obey. The warrant says that when one of the freshmen went to the back of the bus he was held down and assaulted.

Fehrenbacher had been facing three charges: one for assault, one for hazing and another for battery. By pleading no contest, the battery charge was not prosecuted.

Lester’s case is pending, though his attorney filed a motion seeking an investigative file into two coaches who were on the bus at the time of the incident.
