Jock Stock After some initial delays, Athletic IQ (athleticiq.com) recently launched a standardized evaluation for high school student-athletes that electronically measures body composition, flexibility, speed, agility, reaction time, and upper- and lower-body power. The program, developed by former NFL scout Randy Tyson and a team of engineers and university-based human-performance experts, carries the support of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association and is billed as the athletic equivalent of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (not as another recruiting service). Facility operators can host an evaluation event for free - see the special online section for previews of testing procedures - and the test is free to participants, too.
