Corpus Christi Awaits Approval of Splash Pads

Andy Berg Headshot

The Corpus Christi (Texas) Parks and Recreation Department is looking to make a splash this season with the installation of new water features.

According to the local NBC affiliate, the department is waiting on the city council to vote on the plan, which would involve installation of splash pads at two local parks and a recreation center.

In all the project is expected to cost around $600,000.

With summer near at hand, local residents are apparently frustrated that the city council hasn’t approved construction of the pads yet.
