The project, designed by DLR Group with local partner Pappas & Pappas Architects, includes a 12,000-square-foot strength and conditioning area for football, an Olympic sport weight-training area, a football locker room, a sports medicine area and a training lounge. One unique feature is a chamber that simulates conditions at lower altitudes, which can help athletes prepare for competition closer to sea level. — Press release

Penn State University dedicated its new Panzer Stadium this week. Home to the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, the project transforms the Penn State Lacrosse Field into a stadium capable of hosting conference championships, preliminary NCAA playoffs and youth lacrosse events. Designed by Moody Nolan with local partner APArchitects LLC, the facility features a video board, permanent concessions, a press box with broadcast capabilities and permanent seating for 1,300. — News.PSU.edu
