Penn State University dedicated its new Panzer Stadium this week. Home to the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, the project transforms the Penn State Lacrosse Field into a stadium capable of hosting conference championships, preliminary NCAA playoffs and youth lacrosse events. Designed by Moody Nolan with local partner APArchitects LLC, the facility features a video board, permanent concessions, a press box with broadcast capabilities and permanent seating for 1,300. — News.PSU.edu

Purdue University is beginning to discuss plans for renovating the south end zone at Ross-Ade Stadium. School officials met with architectural firm Populous to begin to develop a master plan for the project. The firm will modify original plans that were based on artist renderings in 2015, under the school’s previous athletic director. — purdue.rivals.com
Construction began this week on the new Chamizal Community Recreation Center in El Paso, Texas. The project, designed by MarmonMok, will feature a variety of recreational use space, including a gymnasium, a cardio and weight space, a multipurpose fitness area and a splash pad. — marmonmok.com
