Sacramento Republic FC has released a new rendering for its planned stadium in the Railyards. The club also launched a community survey to help hone its fan experience there.
The new rendering from MANICA Architecture shows an overhead view from the southwest entrance and concourse, which was not viewable in a previous rendering, according to a club spokesperson.
In November, the Sacramento City Council unanimously approved financial terms for the long-sought stadium. The new deal came after Wilton Rancheria became the majority owner of the Sacramento Republic FC and agreed to invest in the Railyards' development. [KCRA]
The newly announced US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team in Denver could get its own dedicated stadium, if majority owner Robert Cohen is good to his word.
Denver beat off bids from Cleveland and Cincinnati to become the NWSL’s 16th team last month, paying a record $110 million for the franchise – the largest ever for a new women’s sports franchise in the US.
The Denver team will debut in the 2026 season alongside a new Boston franchise that paid $53 million in 2023 for their league place. Bay FC, who debuted in the 2024 season, also paid $53 million for their franchise slot. [Inside World Football]
