Shooter Targets Shuttered Denver Rec Center Windows

Denver’s public rec centers have seen better days after a suspect shot 60 windows with a pellet or BB gun at five of the city’s rec centers over the past two weeks.

"This is a large expense for the city and its taxpayers," the Denver Police Department said in a community alert that was reported by Denver Patch.

The culprit hit the Scheitler Recreation Center, the Recreation Center, the Eisenhower Recreation Center, the Cook Park Recreation Center and the Southwest Recreation Center.

Denver rec centers are all currently closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

Police have put out an alert and are asking anyone with information about the shootings to come forward.
