Bees Safely Removed After Swarming Yankee Stadium

The New York Yankees had unexpected visitors to their stadium on Monday — about 25,000 of them.

According to CBS, a swarm of bees made their way to Yankee Stadium and congregated in the outfield.

The NYPD was called and a pair of beekeepers safely removed the bees and relocated them near Monument Park.

Since the incident, the NYPD Bees have created their own Twitter account, and fans reacted positively to the humane treatment of the insects.

The incident comes after the San Diego Padres killed a swarm of bees rather than locating them.

Back in May, the Cincinnati Reds’ stadium was swarmed by bees during a game against the San Francisco Giants.
