675 "Party Hearty" Zumbathons in 46 States to Benefit American Heart Association

$200,000 already raised from Party Hearty Zumbathons to support American Heart's Go Red Por Tu Corazón Movement HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Through May, Zumba Fitness offers men and women nationwide a chance to experience the excitement of its high-energy workouts while raising funds and awareness for the fight against heart disease. Through its Party Hearty program, a multi-faceted relationship with Go Red Por Tu Corazón, the American Heart Association's bilingual heart-health movement for Latinas, Zumba instructors are hosting 675 Zumbathon charity classes in 46 states with charitable donations already totaling $200,000 to-date. "Zumba fitness is now a global phenomenon in more than 110 countries and when we found out how much U.S. Hispanic women were at risk for heart disease, we knew we needed to do something," said Alberto Perlman, CEO of Zumba Fitness. "Together with our dedicated instructors and fans, we're excited to embark on another national cause-related campaign that will draw attention to the parallel between a healthy lifestyle and heart health."
