(Wheeling, WV and Charleston, SC) – TSE Services finished up a busy January and February with the completion of audio and video installs at WesBanco Arena, home of the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers (WV), and Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, home of the South Atlantic League's Charleston RiverDogs (SC). Enhancing the fan experience is important to both organizations, which has led to the ongoing partnership and hiring of TSE to consult and install new technologies.
The Nailers project was centralized around the addition of brand new digital ribbon boards and a high-definition center-mounted video board. Partnering with LSI Industries, TSE designed, relocated, and installed a completely new high-definition production room to support the new displays. The features of the new production room included a NewTek TriCaster 860 Video Switcher, NewTek 3Play for enhanced instant replays, and Wireless Fan Cams.
Jamel Mallad, TSE's Project Manager for the install said, "With the new high-definition displays and an updated production room, fans at WesBanco arena are going to be very happy. They are going to be treated to an amazing new show!"
The RiverDogs project was heavily focused around streamlining the audio around the ballpark, while enhancing the in-stadium communication and video systems. New audio amplifiers were installed to change the system from sounding like one big zone, to breaking the ballpark digitally into multiple zones. This enhancement allows the RiverDogs to change the sound level on the fly in different locations throughout their ballpark. A Canon XU-81W HD Remote PTZ Camera placed in center field, along with a new Ticket Window Intercom system were also installed. In 2014, TSE designed and installed a brand new production room for the RiverDogs, much like the WesBanco Arena project. The completion of this latest project brings the entire renovation of "The Joe" to full circle.
"The investment that the RiverDogs have put into this stadium the last couple years is really taking the stadium to a new level," Mallad said, "Fan's will really experience a great show from the moment they walk into the ballpark until they leave for the night."
