Woodinville, WA and Los Angeles, CA - IHRSA 2015 (Booth #1744) - March 12, 2015 - Precor®, a leading home and commercial fitness equipment manufacturer, today announced AMT® Team Fit, a small group training program conducted on the Adaptive Motion Trainer® (AMT®) and designed to challenge an exerciser's cardio fitness, total body strength and balance.
“The AMT Team Fit program helps members and staff fully understand the capabilities of the AMT,” said Alex Ciambrone, Fitness Director at Mission Valley YMCA. “Members loved participating in expert-led workouts that helped them realize their fitness goals, while trainers felt more empowered by helping members experience a completely new and different workout on a unique piece of equipment.”
AMT Team Fit classes capitalize on the unique design of the AMT to meet each exerciser's individual needs. Trainers can quickly adjust stride length, height, resistance and motion path of the AMT to fit any client's fitness level and provide maximum workout efficiency by incorporating aspects of aerobic conditioning, HIIT training, boot camp, core and stabilization training. This versatility gives trainers the ability to attract personal training clientele of all fitness levels, helping trainers to grow their personal training client-base.
“The adaptability of the AMT means that trainers will be able to attract a wider variety of exercisers, which can in turn help to expand their personal and small group training business,” said Erica Tillinghast, Global Education Manager at Precor. “Further, to increase variety for trainer programming, we've developed three AMT Team Fit courses: 'Foundations' for beginners, 'HIIT' for those wanting to do high intensity interval training (HIIT), and 'Boot Camp,' which combines specialized AMT movements with upper and lower body strength exercises.”
As part of the AMT Team Fit investment, a Precor Master Coach will host a Continuing Education Credits (CEC) approved onsite workshop for the facility's training staff. The facility's training staff will then make the program their own as they introduce exercisers to new workout techniques that they might not otherwise discover. With these trainers providing new routines and expert tips throughout the program, exercisers are inspired to keep focused on their fitness goals.
