(Dec. 15, 2015) – Fitness Professor Review bestowed 10 Best Buy awards for the 2015-2016 season to five products from Octane Fitness, LLC, adding to the 29 awards received from the review board in the past five years. For the second time ever, Fit Prof Review named a Best Product of the Year: Octane’s just launched ZR8, the premium model of the innovative Zero Runner category. This new modality also won the Best Crosstainer under $4500 and Best Treadmill Under $4500, and tied as the Best Elliptical Under $4500.
According to reviewers, “The Zero Runner offers the highest level of freedom of movement ever found on one machine. Equipped with new aircraft-grade aluminum legs and lightweight pedals, the ZR8 facilitates a faster cadence, and a greater resistance range creates challenges, like hill repeats. New performance grips are free-moving to more closely replicate a runner’s arm swing and engage the core.
Octane’s ZR7, which debuted in 2014 and was named the 2015 Fit Prof Review Product of the Year, invented zero-impact running. For the second consecutive year, the ZR7 was named the Best Crosstrainer under $3500 and the Best Elliptical under $4000, and tied for the Best Treadmill under $3500. It was recognized for “its innovative, 58” dynamic stride design; user-defined, zero-impact motion; and the highest level of freedom of movement ever found on one machine.”
In the standing elliptical category, the top-of-the-line Octane Q47xi was named the Best Buy elliptical for the ninth consecutive year, and the Q37x was the Best Elliptical under $3000 for the sixth year in a row. Among the recognized features of these models were “the versatile CROSS CiRCUIT program and great interactive programs.”
One of Octane’s recumbent ellipticals, the xR4 xRide, earned the Best Crosstrainer under $3000 award for the second consecutive year, with reviewers noting: “Hands down one of the very best crosstrainers on the market.” According to Fit Prof Review, “Oversized pedals, 75 different seating positions, plus Octane’s famous software, make the xR4x an incredible option for anyone interested in low impact, crosstraining exercise.”
