BROOKLYN PARK, Minn., USA – March 15, 2016 – The unique XT-One cross-trainer from Octane Fitness, LLC, a Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE:NLS) brand, has been selected as a finalist in the annual FIBO Innovation and Trend Awards, and will be displayed April 7-10 at the Innovation Forum at booth D/30 in hall 4 and at Live Stand in hall 6 booth B25 at FIBO 2016 Global Fitness at the Exhibition Centre Cologne in Cologne, Germany.

For 16 years, the competitive Innovation Awards have recognized outstanding contributions to the health and fitness industry. This year, prizes will be awarded in three categories:  jury award, private visitor award and trade visitor award.

“Of course, we are thrilled to again be recognized as a top contender in the prestigious Innovation Awards, as Octane Fitness is fully dedicated to zero-impact cardiovascular equipment breakthroughs,” said Leo Schreuders, managing director of Octane Fitness International, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. “The XT-One enables facilities to offer greater variety within one machine, and exercisers to take advantage of different motions, including incline, for better motivation and results.”

Working with TUV Rheinland, a professional jury will choose the winners and present them at the award ceremony April 9 at the FIBO Party. Trade and private visitors will select two additional award winners from the finalists.

All-in-One Cross Trainer

The innovative XT-One enables exercisers to walk, jog, hike or climb – all on one machine for efficient, effective cross training. Exercisers no longer have to switch machines throughout workout sessionsto participate in cross training, resulting in less congestion on the cardio floor. Plus, university research has shown that exercisers on the XT-One have a greater oxygen consumption and higher use of the glutes, quadriceps and hamstrings over competitive ellipticals with incline capabilities.

An adjustable stride length from 50-71 cm and SmartStride® interactive ergonomics make it simple to replicate walking, jogging or running, with automatic adjustments based on the exerciser’s pace and direction (moving forward or backward). And with 10 incline levels and 30 resistance levels, the XT-One delivers everything from rolling hills to steep inclines for a range of challenges that accommodates all fitness levels.

Offering 23 workouts, including heart rate-controlled programs, incline and stride length routines and advanced regimens, cross training on the XT-One is convenient. And Octane’s Workout Boosters, including X-Mode, ArmBlaster and GlutePower, provide intervals that emphasize different motions for greater variety.

The exclusive CROSS CiRCUIT program on the XT-One delivers combined cardio and strength interval training so that exercisers can maximize effectiveness and efficiency.

Two interactive displays are available on the XT-One, so facilities can customize their technology level for their members as well, from a 10” smart console, to a standard console to a personal viewing screen and more.

With the compact XT-One, health clubs no longer have to floor every iteration of an elliptical or alternate motion trainer, saving them space while satisfying members’ need for variety.
