Partnership Will Offer a More Comprehensive Concussion Management Program
March 15, 2016 – Shirley, NY – Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has expanded its Preferred Vendor Partnership with Concussion Health to include a more diverse educational offering. The additional education, combined with Biodex Balance Assessment, follows best practices in the management of concussion, including both testing and rehabilitation.
Proper evaluation of concussion includes baseline Balance Assessment, Cognitive Assessment and Graded Symptoms Checklist. Beyond the evaluation Concussion Health provides the training to address the rehabilitation of concussion. Staying at the forefront of the education, Concussion Health continually adds new opportunities for clinicians. A recent addition is the Visual Vestibular Functional Integration Training (V2FIT®), a continuing education course focusing on the functional integration of the visual and vestibular symptoms, including how to examine, evaluate and implement therapy strategies into a rehabilitation plan based on clinical findings.
By combining Biodex Balance Assessment with Concussion Health’s extensive education offerings, practitioners will be better able to understand the rehabilitation component of a concussion program, and be able to offer a truly comprehensive program for concussion management.
