Recreation Supply Company, a North Dakota-based national commercial swimming pool supplier, has announced the establishment of a second distribution warehouse in Connecticut.
“Our new North Haven, Connecticut distribution center gives us the ability to get supplies to commercial aquatics facilities in much of the country faster than ever before,” explained Vice President Cal Haugland. “We find that our customers’ expectations have evolved over the last several years. Customers expect to receive their orders faster and at lower shipping cost than they did just a few years ago. Our successful Free Shipping program was one of our first steps in making shopping easier for our customers. Now, stocking products in multiple locations helps us deliver orders more quickly. We are able to get our products to 80% of the US population in 3 days or less by standard ground shipping services. In fact, about half of the country will actually be able to receive their RecSupply orders in 2 days or less.”
The new location also gives Recreation Supply Company an opportunity to begin offering installation and repair services to commercial pools in a broader region. “We strive to be a one-stop shop for commercial aquatics. Offering the best experience possible also means installing and servicing what we sell. We are working to grow our capabilities in that aspect.”
Recreation Supply has also added additional staff. Salespeople in Florida and West Virginia have been added in the past year to supplement existing staff in North Dakota and Connecticut. A bilingual salesperson has also been hired to improve service to the Spanish-speaking community. Expanded seasonal business hours will be implemented in spring.
