Copenhagen, DENMARK, February 12, 2019 – UK mom of two, Ruth Garbutt, has 10 weeks to regain her pre-pregnancy body and with the help of Shapewatch to monitor and help her visualize her key biometrics, she’s well on her way.
Wife of Hull Kingston Rover’s UK Super League rugby player Mitch Garbutt, Ruth is no stranger to an athletic lifestyle. But two cesarean births and toddlers have wreaked havoc on the body she knows she’s capable of achieving. Working at Fitness Space gym in Leeds, UK, with trainer Adam Haines, Ruth has partnered with Shapewatch to track her weekly progress, Lean Lunch for nutrition and XTEND for supplements–all to achieve a strong, lean body in 10 weeks.
With the goals to lose weight and body fat, as well as reshape her body and optimize her health, tracking the progress she’s making at the gym and in the kitchen is important. That’s where Shapewatch comes into play. Shapewatch includes both a kiosk and app. The Shapewatch kiosk is an automated self-serve unit stationed inside Fitness Space that delivers scanning results in 60 seconds. The Shapewatch app, which lives on Ruth’s smart device, gives her a detailed, accurate and highly visual account of her key biometrics including circumference measurements, body fat percentage, lean body mass and waist-hip ratio so she can keep track of how her body changes as she progresses.
Scanning her body with Shapewatch in the gym at the same time every week, Ruth’s body shape is projected onto the app so she can see over time where specifically she is gaining or losing weight or fat and see how her body is changing. It’s the added motivation she needs to connect the major changes she’s adding into her lifestyle to real-time body results. Ruth is also posting her progress to her social channels for added motivation and accountability.
Ruth’s workouts consist of a six-day-a-week regimen mixing up full-body, cardio, HIIT, functional and specialized major muscle group rotations. And, she’s on a lean, healthy, nutritionally balanced diet of 1,400 calories a day. The first episode of Ruth’s 10-week transformation journey aired on BESTFIT TV in the UK (SKY, Freeview and Virgin TV) on February 4 and the last episode will air April 8.
