The Swiss company Conica is one of the world's leading suppliers of athletics running tracks. Now the company has negotiated a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Athletics Federation. Both parties want to benefit from their know-how and experience. First and foremost, the track producer and the federation would like to cooperate in the field of athletics track research and development. The aim is to equip selected stadiums in Hungary with state-of-the-art running tracks by the 19th World Athletics Championships in 2023.
Miklos Gyulai, President of the Hungarian Athletics Association (Magyar Atlétikai Szövetség , MASZ), is looking forward to the cooperation: "Conica as a company is an absolute expert in the area of running tracks. It has been proven often enough that athletes perform at their best on a Conica surface - most recently when Joshua Cheptegei broke the world record over 5000 meters on a CONIPUR Vmax track at the Herculis Diamond League Meeting in Monaco in 2020. The quality of the material is easy on the athletes' foot and leg muscles, and the technology is designed to make them faster. We, as host of World Championship 2023, are very happy and grateful that Conica has joined us as supporter”, says Miklos Gyulai.
