Source: Maple Flooring Manufacturers AssociationDeerfield, IL - The Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) believes in building a better tomorrow through education and has established the MFMA Scholarship Program to support this goal. Jon Isaacs, MFMA President, explained "the program was developed to encourage educational success in the fields related to our business. We appreciate and understand that it takes many trained professionals to make our industry run. The process of turning trees into high- end sports surfaces encompasses numerous skilled hands. And once the sports floors are installed, even more trained professionals use the floors in their careers. We want to support all levels of this process in their educational and career goals."
MFMA is offering two annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each for secondary, advanced or trade school education beginning in the fall of 2013. Applicants must be recommended by an active MFMA Member or a certified architect and will be considered based on academic and written essay responses. Applications must be sent to MFMA by July 1, 2013 and will be reviewed by the MFMA Scholarship Committee and approved by the MFMA Board of Directors. We are proud to offer these scholarships to further our industries.
The Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association was founded in 1897 and is one of the oldest associations in existence. MFMA is the authoritative source of technical and general information about maple flooring and related sports flooring systems.
