The Town of Little Elm has made it easier to play at The Lawn with a new self-serve equipment kiosk from 2play Sports.
The kiosk is packed with lawn games and ping pong paddles, and borrowing them takes about as long as finding a spot on the grass. Just scan the QR code with your phone, pick what you want, and the locker pops open. No app to download, no line to wait in. When you're done, put everything back for the next group.
The solar-powered unit gives visitors automated access to gear all year round. Town staff set the hours and pricing and keep it stocked, and all rental revenue and donations go straight to the Town's connected bank account. 2play's PlayPortal software sends an alert when something needs attention.
