28 of 30 NBA Teams Now Play or Practice on Robbins Sports Surfaces Courts as 2026-27 Season Tips Off

Twenty-eight of the NBA’s 30 teams now play or practice on basketball courts made by Robbins Sports Surfaces as the 2026-27 season tips off Oct. 20. Robbins floors serve as game courts for 25 NBA teams, up from 23 at the start of last season, and as practice courts for 18 teams.  This growth builds on a key milestone Robbins achieved in 2025, when the company began working directly with the NBA.

Robbins courts will be in the spotlight from opening night. Two of the three games on the NBA’s Oct. 20 opening-night schedule will be played on Robbins game floors, as the New York Knicks host the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden and the San Antonio Spurs host the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Robbins’ growth this season also extends to team practice facilities. The Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers have both installed brand-new Robbins MVP practice courts, making them two of 15 NBA teams that both play and practice on Robbins floors.

“This season shows that our momentum continues to grow with the NBA,” said John Ficks, global sales and marketing manager at Robbins Sports Surfaces. “When nearly every team in the league trusts Robbins for the floor it plays on, the floor it practices on, or both, that tells us players and staff value the performance and consistency our courts deliver night after night.”
