County Rec Director Fired After Harassment Claims

A longtime director of the Bulloch (Ga.) County Recreation Department has been fired after allegations of sexual harassment emerged.

Two complaints were filed with police against Mike Rolling, which prompted county leaders to move to terminate his employment.

County leaders were notified of the complaints last week. They were made by two separate women who claimed Rollins has sexually harassed them. Rollins was suspended before he was fired.

“With the evidence we were able to see by the Statesboro Police Department, the conviction of the complainants that we interviewed, it corroborated everything that warranted the termination,” county manager Tom Couch told WTOC

Rollins has been director of the city-county recreation department for decades.

There was no immediate notification of a replacement for Rollins.
