A middle school physical education teacher in Florida is facing charges after he slammed one of his students against a wall for not putting on a shirt before the child left the locker room.

Police officers were called to Millennium Middle School just before 2:30 on Friday on reports of a physical disturbance, according to the local ABC affiliate.

Upon arrival at the school, police were told of an altercation between PE instructor Michael Henry, 56, and a student who did not want to leave the locker room with a shirt on. Police said Henry blocked the doorway and prevent the student from leaving. When the student bumped into Henry in an attempt to exit, Henry slammed the student against a wall.

The student had a small bump on his forehead.

Henry faces a charge of battery and was transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility where he is awaiting $500 bond.

The school has place Henry on paid administrative leave while the matter is investigated. He was previously employed at Oviedo High School and Milwee Middle school before being hired at Millennium.
