A club softball coach in Texas is being accused of giving a 17-year-old player alcohol and later sexually assaulting her.

Danny C. Perez, 49, coaches practices for a club team at Champion High School, although the team is not affiliated with any public or private school.

Kendall County authorities say Perez sexually assaulted the 17-year-old girl at a Houston-area hotel.

“The affidavit states that the victim pleaded with Danny Perez to stop during the assault but he continued to assault her,” according to the news release, which was reported on by KSAT

Perez posted the $50,000 bail and was released from Harris County Jail on Wednesday.

Authorities say Perez may have other victims, and an investigation is ongoing.
