The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) has made the hard choice to cancel its annual conference in San Diego due to the emerging COVID-19 crisis.

"After careful consideration, it is with heavy heart that IHRSA and the IHRSA Board of Directors have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel IHRSA 2020, scheduled to take place March 18-21 in San Diego, CA, USA," read a statement posted to IHRSA's website. "Now, based on the latest guidance and official declarations, it is clear that canceling is the right course of action."

Meanwhile, Augie's Quest, the organization started by Augie Nieto to find a cure for ALS, has also canceled the 15th annual BASH for Augie's Quest, which was scheduled for March 20th in San Diego.

"This was a heartbreaking decision for Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS," read an email announcing the cancelation. "Not only is this our largest fundraising event every year, it’s a 'family reunion' where the entire fitness community, ALS friends, and our incredible supporters come together to literally change the world."

For those still wanting to support Augie's Quest, the organization will still be holding its online silent auction here
