A youth football coach in Virginia has been charged with embezzling money from the Ashburn Youth Football League.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that Louis E. Turpin, 46, turned himself over to authorities last Friday and has been charged with two felony warrants.
After an investigation, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Unit determined Turpin wrote checks for personal expenditures from the AYFL’s accounts in 2019 totaling approximately $7,500.
Turpin was released from Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond, according to Inside Nova.
