It reportedly took the University of Florida football program all of an hour to suspend Jalen Kitna, after the backup quarterback was arrested Wednesday on two charges of distribution of child exploitation material and three charges of possession of child pornography.

As reported by The Associated Press, Gainesville police said the 19-year-old Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, shared the images via a social media platform. Gainesville police announced the arrest in a news release and said the investigation was initiated when the department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated that a Discord user distributed an image of child sexual abuse through its chat platform.
