Briles Files Suit Against Baylor Administrators

In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Llano County, Texas, ex-Baylor head coach Art Briles has alleged that three university regents and the school vice president have unjustly harmed his reputation and interfered with his ability to get a job in the wake of an ongoing sexual assault scandal.

Briles was fired at Baylor months ago, after an investigation into sexual assault allegations against football players found that the program mishandled those allegations. Briles himself, and former AD Ian McCaw were implicated in a statement by Baylor that claimed they had heard about an alleged gang rape perpetrated by five football players and did nothing about it. Briles has denied any wrongdoing.
