The University of Alabama recently celebrated the grand reopening of the Alabama Aquatics Center and Don Gambril Olympic Pool. The original natatorium was converted into a 25-yard by 25-meter outdoor pool with springboards. Meanwhile, the Olympic pool facility was completely renovated, with new bleachers brought in, and roll-up doors that open onto a dryland training area. The diving area was also upgraded, with platforms from 1- 10-meters, as well as 1- and 3-meter springboards. Additional upgrades include a team suite that includes locker rooms, a nutrition station, a meeting room, a team lounge, coaches’ offices and an athletic training room. — RollTide.com
