Montana State University is slated to begin construction on its Bobcat Athletic Complex this month. The $18 million, 40,000-square-foot facility will include two stories and offer amenities such as football locker rooms, team rooms, coaches offices and sports medicine and rehab space available to all student-athletes. Dartmouth College recently completed a new indoor practice facility. The $27 million, 70,000-square-foot building will primarily be used by varsity athletics, including men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, football, women’s rugby and softball. Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Fla., unveiled a rendering of its Community Field and Athletic Stadium, which will house the school’s football and women’s soccer teams. The $4.3 million project, designed by PVB Architecture, will boast a seating capacity of 5,000, and offer amenities such as a synthetic turf field, a scoreboard, concessions and restroom facilities. Texas Tech University is carrying on with planned construction projects despite the coronavirus pandemic. The $29.5 million Dustin R. Womble Basketball Center is expected to be completed this summer despite a brief construction interruption that began in mid-March. Meanwhile, the $9.4 million upgrade to the exterior of the office and conference space on Jones AT&T Stadium’s east side began work in April. — Caller Times
