Mercyhurst University announced renovations to the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The renovations are part of the Laker for Life Campaign, which began two years ago and raised in excess of $10 million to fund new athletics facilities. The MAC, which hosts basketball, volleyball and wrestling, will be renovated with a new playing surface, new seating and video scoreboards. A stage will also be removed from the facility, and the court rotated 90 degrees. ā€” GoErie.com

Alma Center Lincoln (Wis.) High School will receive a new $3.9 million athletics complex after voters in the district approved a referendum on Tuesday. Plans call for a new rubberized track surface, a new sod football field, a new scoreboard, concessions and grandstands for up to 500 fans. The project is expected to break ground this summer, and be completed in time for the 2022 football season. ā€” WQOW.com

Mississippi lawmakers have allocated $250,000 to launch a feasibility study into building Jackson State University a new on-campus football stadium. While just the first step in the process, the study could lead to the school building a new state-of-the-art facility to replace Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, which was built in 1950. ā€” WLBT.com

Granada (Calif.) High School held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new aquatics and athletics facility. The $16 million project includes such amenities as a new weight room, a wrestling room, a dance and recreation room and an outdoor pool.
