The new jerseys comes as the Knights begin a new era in 2021 under the direction of new head coach Gus Malzahn, formerly of Auburn.
The jerseys were a first in college athletics and seem to be relevant as the debate around Name, Image and Likeness continues. The team has not said whether they'll continue to wear the jerseys in future games.
“This is the new age of personal branding and we’re going to embrace it, within the NCAA rules. That’s who we are and that’s who we’re going to be…” Malzahn said in a press conference.
