Penn State football student ticket prices are going up in the 2018 season. The Nittany Lions announced Tuesday that season student tickets will cost $232 in 2018 - a $14 increase ($2 per game) from last season.
This is the first time since 2009 that the program has raised the price of student tickets, according to a press release. Penn State student season tickets will go on sale June 18.
Penn State is also bumping up the price of regular season tickets for the upcoming season. Season tickets for Penn State's seven home games at Beaver Stadium in 2018 will cost $420, which is $35 more than the price of 2017 season tickets.
"We are so appreciative of the outstanding, passionate support from Penn State alumni, students and fans for the Nittany Lion football team," Penn State deputy athletic director Phil Esten said in a statement. "We are grateful for the investment of resources, dedication and enthusiasm by our season and single game ticket holders and the difference they make in creating an unrivaled football gameday atmosphere and experience. The support from Penn Staters in Beaver Stadium in the fall and throughout the year have a tremendous impact on our community and in achieving comprehensive excellence by our student-athletes."
