Baylor Men’s Basketball To Miss Next Two Games

As NCAA Division I men’s basketball lurches precariously toward its annual tournament, No. 2 Baylor announced Thursday that it won’t play its next two scheduled games due to the Big 12’s COVID-19 protocols.

Undefeated Baylor was scheduled to play TCU on Saturday and No. 9 Oklahoma on Wednesday. Neither of those games will be played, according to Yahoo Sports

Baylor’s next game would be against No. 13 Texas Tech on Feb. 13.

The school did not release any specifics on infected players or staff.

The cancellations are representative of the overall uncertainty surrounding March Madness this year, as the association has said some teams may opt out of the tournament. Meanwhile, the NCAA this week canceled all winter D-III championships due to lack of participation.
