A Connecticut man is facing charges after authorities say he punched a coach during a youth football game Sunday.
Michael Curry, 42, of Bridgeport, has been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, according to a Connecticut Post report.
Wilton police Lt. Gregg Phillipson said the incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at a game involving players who were about 10 years old. Curry is accused of punching his child's coach. Police did not say what team Curry's child was on.
According to the Wilton Youth Football and Cheer website, a game was played between Wilton and Stamford fifth-graders at that time at Fujitani Field.
Curry could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
Curry is scheduled to appear Nov. 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
