An athletic trainer has been credited with saving the life of a high school student-athlete in Colorado during a recent soccer match.
According to the local CBS affiliate, which cited a spokesperson for Widefield School District 3, a player “went down” on the field on Oct. 5 at Widefield High School and stopped breathing.
Athletic trainer Laura Smith immediately administered CPR along with utilizing a defibrillator to save the player’s life.
