A fan in attendance at TQL Stadium for the U.S. Men's National Team's game against New Zealand might be reconsidering a future job as a goalie.
Kelli Fisher attempted to "block a shot" from forward Haji Wright around the 27th minute that sailed past the New Zealand goal and into the stands.
Unfortunately, Fisher's efforts resulted in a trip to the hospital to tend to a broken arm.
"I looked at my mom and whispered under my breath, 'I think my arm's broken.' I stuck my arm out. I was not expecting it to be that hard and that fast. But, I mean, they are professionals," Fisher told WLWT.
Fisher was taken to First Aid at the stadium and then sent her to the Good Samaritan Emergency Room. She said FC Cincinnati Public Relations called to check on her after the incident.
Fisher confessed that the injury didn't entirely spoil her day.
"While I was sitting in the emergency room, I was still watching from phone because I didn't want to miss the game," Fisher said.
