During Sunday night’s NFL game between the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers, fans at Acrisure Stadium saw more than just touchdowns and tackles. A woman, later identified as social media influencer Claudia Rose, jumped the barrier and ran from the end zone to the 40-yard line, waving a political sign, before being apprehended by security.
In a video taken by a fan in her seating section, viewers can see the Jets and Steelers already in formation to begin the next play when she enters the field. Rose hoists herself over the edge of the bleachers, jumps onto the field and starts running downfield. Gameplay was ceased for security to remove her, however the NBC broadcast avoided showing the woman, so fans at home likely had no idea there was an interruption.

Supposedly prompting the stunt was the fact that presidential nominee Donald Trump was in attendance at Sunday night’s game. As Fox News reported, Rose “really wanted to impress former President Donald Trump on Sunday night.” Her stunt was met with loud chants of ‘USA’ from the crowd.
Four security personnel were required to remove her from the field. Neither stadium officials nor the Steelers have made any comment regarding the incident.
According to Newsweek, “the woman in question was arrested for defiant trespass, which is a summary offense and is a summons arrest, meaning she will receive something in the mail and appear before magistrate at some point.”
Following her arrest and release from jail, Rose spoke out on social media encouraging her followers to vote and voicing her support for the GOP nominee. “Vote for yourself, vote for your family, your children, vote for your bank accounts, your groceries, your rights, your freedom.”
Prior to Sunday night’s stunt, Rose had about 56,000 followers, however her stunt has increased her online presence as Steelers fans and the politically active watch the video of her running down the field.
