Memorial Hermann Houston Rockets Training Center

Houston, Texas
Construction Cost: $70 million
Area / Square Feet: Withheld
Occupancy Date: October 2024

The Houston Rockets Training Center is a state-of-the-art facility that blends modern design with advanced hydrotherapy and athletic performance resources. Built on an existing warehouse site, construction required careful excavation of the warehouse floor to create dedicated hydrotherapy areas, reflecting the team’s commitment to player recovery and wellness. Central to the facility is an expansive hydrotherapy zone that’s 50% larger than the space previously available at the team’s arena. It features three Hydroworx pools: a 14-foot classic cold plunge and a 14-foot hot/cold plunge (both measuring 3 feet, 5 inches in depth, 1,500 gallons and 105 square feet), as well as a 2000 Series pool with moveable floor and variable depth (5,170 gallons, 96 square feet). These pools support contrast therapy, targeted muscle recovery and rehabilitation, integrating seamlessly with steam rooms, treatment stations and medical exam areas. The clubhouse’s design strategically combines training, therapy and recovery in a centralized environment. By providing holistic support for player health and performance, the facility reinforces the Rockets’ dedication to cutting-edge recovery solutions and high-performance athletic development.
