The Berthoud Town Park Splashpad is a vibrant addition to this historic community park, offering a 6,000-square-foot water play area that blends natural stone elements with modern aquatics features. Fifteen interactive sprays and a button-activated waterfall invite children and families to cool off, explore and play together in an engaging, nature-inspired setting. The use of natural materials enhances the parkβs character while creating a sensory-rich environment that encourages curiosity and connection. Designed with inclusion in mind, the splashpad provides accessible play opportunities for children of all abilities, supporting active lifestyles and social interaction across age groups. The project team overcame spatial and budgetary constraints through careful coordination and creative detailing, ensuring the design seamlessly integrated into the existing park space. Two new covered pavilions complement the splashpad and are ideal for picnics, events and community gatherings. One features a cozy gas firepit for year-round enjoyment. Together, these amenities enhance Berthoud Town Parkβs role as a community cornerstone and gathering space. The Berthoud Town Park Splashpad exemplifies thoughtful, community-focused design, creating a welcoming destination that celebrates play, connection and the enduring value of shared outdoor spaces.
