The John A. Paulson Center at New York University stands as a testament to innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, thanks to the generous support of philanthropists Henry and Marsha Paulson. This striking 23-story mixed-use tower features a range of modern amenities. At its core is a 3,600-square-foot, 6-lane, 25-yard pool adorned with large-format European tile and equipped with on-site chemical generation, enhancing both competitive training and recreational swimming. Designed with sustainability in mind, the building boasts angled glass panels that provide a textured facade while minimizing solar gain. Its custom-fritted glass protects birds and other local wildlife. The center also features generous green roofs with gardens and terraces that promote biodiversity and contribute to natural cooling. Designed in alignment with NYU’s Climate Action Plan, the LEED Gold Certified building utilizes sustainable features that significantly reduce its carbon footprint, supporting both the university’s mission and environmental stewardship.
