American Dream at the Meadowlands mega-mall in East Rutherford, N.J., was designed as a destination for indoor family entertainment. The waterpark is located under a six-story glass barreled roof, immediately adjacent to the indoor Nickelodeon Universe® theme park. Themed areas include Shrek’s Soggy Swamp (family fun area), Kung-Fu Panda Zone (children’s play area), and the Madagascar Rain Forest (themed water slide tower).

The park features a 54,000-square-foot wave pool; more than 40 waterslides, including Thrillagascar, the world’s tallest indoor drop slide at 142 feet; Shrek’s Sinkhole Slammer, a massive six-story high funnel slide; Dragon Racers, an eight-lane mat racing slide; and Toothless Trickling Torpedo, the 1,600-foot-long hydro-magnetic coaster, the world’s longest and tallest water

coaster. In addition to all of these incredible rides, the park features a lazy river, a swim-up bar for adults, a surf simulator, a large interactive play structure and multiple whirlpools. Not only does this project set records, it brings a unique themed environment to visitors, ensuring a new experience

with every visit.
