A crown jewel of aquatics in Southern California, the Orange Coast College Aquatic Pavilion represents one element of a 113,000-square-foot kinesiology and athletics project. Its 25-yard instructional pool serves the kinesiology department with adaptive swim programs and supports warm-up and cool-down for competitive aquatic events. The 65-meter-by-25-yard competition pool is home to Pirates men’s and women’s swimming and diving, as well as water polo.

The 16,010-square-foot competition pool features eight 50-meter lanes and 25 25-yard lanes. With pool depths that range from 8 feet to 13 feet 6 inches, the pool accommodates 1- and 3-meter diving, and its two moveable bulkheads allow for three sections to support disparate programs to be run simultaneously. Add premiere shaded spectator seating, and the pool becomes an ideal venue for swimming, diving and water polo.

The 6,156-square-foot instructional pool features 10 25-yard lanes, pool depths that range from 3 feet 6 inches to 5 feet and stairs that run the entire length of the pool.
