Memorial Park Pool

Caldwell, Idaho
Construction Cost: $9.5 million
Area / Square Feet: 9,220
Occupancy Date: May 2025

Following four summers without its beloved pool, the City of Caldwell proudly celebrated the grand re-opening of the Caldwell Memorial Pool in May 2025. The original facility, open since the 1970s, was forced to close in 2021 after safety inspections revealed electrical issues and leaks. WTI partnered with ALSC Architects to reimagine and restore this cherished community amenity. Despite construction cost challenges and logistical hurdles, the $9.5 million project delivered a completely revitalized facility that honors the site’s legacy while meeting modern standards. The new 5,000-square-foot bathhouse, renovated pool and updated mechanical systems reestablish the Caldwell Memorial Pool as a source of community pride. City of Caldwell mayor Jarom Wagoner, who swam at the original pool as a child, described the renovation as a “bridge between the city’s past and future.” Within nearly the same aquatics footprint, the redesign introduced eight regulation-length lap lanes, enabling official outdoor swim meets for the first time in Caldwell’s history. Additional amenities include two waterslides, a diving board and an Aqua Zip’n attraction, while varied depths support recreation, fitness and fun for all ages, restoring the Caldwell Memorial Pool as a vibrant community destination.
