Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark since 1977, is one of Oregon’s top tourist destinations, attracting nearly two million visitors annually. This historic lodge is nestled near Mount Hood and has been welcoming guests since 1937, blending modern comforts with its grand historical charm. After more than six decades, the original pool was decommissioned in 2022. The new facility, located in the same spot as its predecessor, has a heated pool and hot tub, operational year-round. It caters to hotel guests and hosts group gatherings and special occasions, enhancing Timberline Lodge’s offerings. The aquatics features are truly the highlight of this transformation. The leisure pool — with its automated cover, stair entry, ADA lift and 8-foot-3-inch maximum depth — offers a relaxing and accessible experience for all guests. The spa is equally impressive. It features an automated cover, two stair entries, an ADA lift, hydrotherapy jets and an underwater bench, providing a luxurious and therapeutic environment. A sky bridge from the westside hotel vestibule provides access to the pool and hot tub, seamlessly integrating the new amenities with the lodge’s layout. The restoration also revived stone buttresses and architectural elements reminiscent of the lodge’s original design, evoking a nostalgic 1958 aura.
