In September 2020, Churchville-Chili Central School District celebrated the grand opening of the school’s new pool and athletic facilities. The project replaced the original aging aquatic facility with new construction that advances the functional paradigm of programming beyond academic use.

The pool features both shallow and deep water that can be separated by a 6-foot-wide bulkhead to maximize programming. Recreational features such as water volleyball and water basketball are provided, as well as a large stair entry to appeal to the noncompetitive user. The natatorium also provides a top-notch environment for the competitive athlete. Features include course layouts for both 25-yard and 25-meter swimming, a parapet-type gutter system, new starting blocks and two 1-meter diving boards. The bulkhead allows for both competitive swimming and diving to occur simultaneously in the same body of water. The tile finish on both the deck, interior of the pool, and natatorium walls is accented with the school colors. An in-deck timing system equipped with a large video board makes the natatorium ideal for hosting meets.

Additionally, the natatorium includes a large spectator gallery, timing and scoring rooms, coaches’ offices, as well as various other pool support spaces that create a world class competitive environment.
