Two days after a bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team left 15 people dead, a GoFundMe page for the victims' families has met its updated goal of raising $4 million.

On Friday afternoon, a semi-trailer crashed into a bus carrying the Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, a team made up of 16- to 20-year-old players. The bus passengers who survived were all injured, with some in critical condition.

More than 50,000 people have donated to the campaign. The GoFundMe's original goal was $2 million, according to Sports Illustrated, and it reached that amount in less than 24 hours. Donations are still being accepted.

Sylvie Kellington, the resident of Humboldt, Saskatchewan who started the campaign, wrote that she was put in contact with the Broncos' vice president to work on sending the money to the victims' families.

Around the NHL Saturday night, teams took moments of silence to respect the victims of the tragedy, and the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets wore the word "Broncos" on their jerseys in place of the players' names.
