AB Show 2023 attendees can expect “more” in Baltimore this fall following the announcement Tuesday of a new partnership with the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education.
The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based AORE will co-locate with AB Show for the first time Nov. 1-4 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
For AB Show director Rachel Lesczynski, the relationship is a natural. “AORE’s mission, commitment to furthering their members’ development, and crossover with the verticals in our audience made this partnership one that we have been pursuing for some time now — and 2023 is the time!” Lesczynski said. “This partnership broadens opportunities not only for our attendee and audience experience, but for our exhibitors and our brand as a whole. In addition to their conference offerings — which are open to AB attendees — AORE will have a presence on the exhibit hall floor in the brand-new AORE pavilion.”
Calling the opportunity one that “helps put AORE on the map,” the newest AB Show partner told its membership Tuesday, “This partnership will give our members access to the same great networking opportunities and education you all know and love — but also expand opportunities with leadership and management. This will give you the opportunity to learn how to grow yourself — and the business of getting outside! Talking about ourselves, to ourselves, is not going to advance our work. It is time to spread our wings and fly!”
In answering the question — “Why Athletic Business?” — AORE continued, “We will be joining a 40-year conference with over 2,300 facility and program managers from around the world. These decision-makers come to the AB Show every year to learn new solutions from industry leaders, find new products and services and build community.”

In co-locating with AB Show 2023 in Baltimore, AORE joins longtime AB Show partners NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation, the National Alliance for Youth Sports and the Medical Fitness Association.
