AB Show 2025 is in full swing in San Diego, and on Thursday, attendees were treated to a presentation from keynote speaker John Register.
Register, Paralympian and Army veteran, took the stage to share his “Amputate to Elevate” presentation. Attendees learned Register’s background as an elite athlete who elevated his mindset to still achieve Olympic dreams despite his life-changing injury. Including archival footage of his own competitions, Register amped up the crowd.

His process to amputate your fears in order to elevate your dreams relies on the three-part mindset: reckoning, revision, and renewal.
Attendees interacted with Register’s presentation by submitting their own fears and limitations to be displayed on the main screen. Then, everyone contributed to a poll determining which stage of the 3R mindset they identified with.
Said Register, “When we face life’s hurdles, we have a choice — to be paralyzed by fear or to amputate what’s holding us back and move forward with purpose.”
Following Register’s keynote address, attendees explored the AB Show expo floor and afternoon sessions.
