Trade-Offs Required in Getting an Outdoor Pool Built Within Budget

Getting an outdoor aquatic facility built within budget often means making some pretty big tradeoffs.

Sss 806 Ab Midwestern municipalities, the outdoor aquatic center trendsetters of the past 15 years, are still building their share of complexes that resemble full-scale water parks. But pool designers there are navigating a decided bend in the lazy river, as it were, with a greater number of would-be facility owners coming to them with fixed budgets, looking to keep costs low wherever possible. It's a mixed blessing for a pool designer, of course, but at least it might put a stop to another longtime trend observed by Doug Whiteaker, a principal with Beaver Dam, Wis.-based Water Technology Inc.
